Family, Friends and Fun

I found a picture that I forgot to add to the blog last week, in our RV park in Massachusetts there were chickens. A follow RVer fed them, well after the RVers left the chickens decided to see if we would feed them. We watched them for a moment, and I was very curious if they would try to climb up the stairs in their pursuit for food. This one was very determined to eat, sorry buddy, no food from us. Welcome to Maine! Hope that last week was a great one, ours was. We set up and went out to eat, it was a busy restaurant, but it was good. Sunday, we watched church and then were able to chill and allow hubby to have a great Father's Day. This year he turns 60, so I bought him a Father's Day and birthday gift. It will arrive on Tuesday. I am so excited; it is a surprise. Hope he likes it. Our site for three weeks. Monday was a shopping and organizing day, getting ready for my mom and her husband, Dave, to arrive on Tuesday. So, Tuesday, I made salsa, prepped celery and made juice.

Happy Father's Day to my wonderful hubby and dad! Happy Father's Day to all fathers. May you all have a blessed and beautiful day. Hubby was "Weasel" on the Murder Mystery Dinner Train. Dad and I in Las Vegas last year. From Rhode Island we drove to Westhampton, Massachusetts. It was a pretty drive and not very long. We felt very welcome, especially by the gnats. We stayed at a pretty nice KOA last week, but never got around to putt putt, so sad.  Site for the week. Last Sunday we went to the Strawberry Festival at Outlook Farm Barn and Eatery. Had a nice time, it was a nice day and met some nice people.  We got there early enough to choose the seats we wanted. The band getting ready to play. There was a halo around the sun, someone said it was caused by the fires in Canada. Westhampton was first settled in 1762. It was originally part of Northampton. Reverend Enoch Hale, brother of the American spy Nathan Hale, was chose to the be town's first minister. The town

Welcome to Rhode Island! Our week here was amazing, well, not the tiny streets and the traffic, but after you found a place to park, it was fun and we enjoyed our time. I was able to get a picture of the state sign, happy about that. Our site for the week. Saturday, after we set up, we headed out for dinner. It was a nice place, and we had a good server. Portsmouth is a cute town. I was excited for Sunday and all the site seeing we were going to do in Newport. So nice to be able to chill after setting up and cleaning the rig. "Keeping it real" Sunday was a very hard day. Hubby shared with me a post he saw on Facebook. One of my high school friends passed away. It was heart breaking and I needed to walk, something to just be able to handle the grief. We first went to brunch and then headed to Newport. It was hard to process, and I still can't wrap my mind around the passing. Hubby was a big help and allowed me to work through the pain. Praying for the family continually.
