Living it up in Filer, Idaho
Arriving on a Saturday, gave us time to explore last Sunday. After we watched church, we headed out to explore the school where my mom taught and see the hospital where my little sister was born. It was fun to step back in time to 1973 and 1974. I don't remember a lot from back then, but I do remember Twin Falls is where I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior at a church where I attended Vacation Bible School. Bickel Elementary School. Mom taught on the second floor. Didn't quite look like this in 1974, it is now a "state of the art" hospital. We drove and found a place to eat for lunch, Redhawk Gastropub. It was so amazing because you could see the Snake River and the canyon. The Snake River starts in western Wyoming, then flows through the Snake River Plain of southern Idaho, the rugged Hells Canyon on the Oregon-Idaho border and the rolling Palouse Hills of Washington, emptying into the Columbia River at the Tri-Cities in the Columbia Basin of Eastern Washi...
