Hello! Happy Easter! Our Lord has risen indeed! Hope that you have a blessed day and can share it with family and friends. We are currently in Waco, Texas and will be for the next two weeks. May God shine His face upon you and yours. Well, I am not sure where to begin, it has been very busy, a lot of eating out and not a lot of photos. I do have some, but it is like when I get back home (Houston area) I get caught up with friends and family and totally forget to get photos. So let me start sharing what all has happened since March 18, 2024. Hubby and I went to the grocery store, and I did cook on that night, lol, then March 19th and beyond happened, not so much cooking going on past this point. I was supposed to get a haircut (again) and it was cancelled so I gave up and told hubby that I was going to make an appointment when we were in Lake Charles. So, we went out to dinner with Tim, and then he needed to get some things out of the storage unit. So, that was our night. It is always g

Lake Charles

Well, I am going to have to keep you guessing on what all happened in Lake Charles - I love to keep the blog up to date, but sometimes that doesn't work - sorry!   Let's just say for now I am down, but I get up again! Thanks for understanding!  God, the RV and me…

It's Someone's Birthday!

First of all, I want to say Happy Birthday to our oldest grandson, Charley, he turns 16 today. Secondly, I want to wish you all a Happy St. Patrick's Day. This year is going by quickly, but last week was a very long week to me. Here he is! This year he was on the wrestling team and next  year will play football as well as wrestle. I don't have a St. Patrick's Day gnome yet, but it is on my list. Fun fact: St. Patrick's Day was originally celebrated in Ireland with religious services and feasts in honor of St. Patrick, one of Ireland's patron saints. When Irish immigrants brought St. Patrick's Day traditions to the United States, the day evolved into a secular celebration of Irish culture. Also interesting to note that St. Patrick was actually Irish he was born in Britain in 385 AD and his parents Calpurnius and Conches were both Roman citizens. Slavery was what brought St. Patrick to Ireland.   Ireland, it's national quote is Erin go Bragh (Ireland Forever).

Eye Doctor, Busy Errands and Rodeo

Well, we remembered to take a picture at brunch. It was fun and we had a great time. Thank you, Tressa, Tim, Fonda and Jim for joining hubby and myself. "Keeping it real" last week was hard, turning 60 was harder than I thought. I know it is just a number, but man, to me, it is a hard number. I don't feel 60, I certainly don't act 60, I guess I never really saw myself being 60. God's grace is good, and I am starting to feel fine in my own 60-year-old skin. 2920 Roadhouse Fonda, Tressa, me, hubby, Tim and Jim. With all the activity that went on with birthdays, the rodeo, and trips to the airport, Monday I just wanted to stay home, until I didn't. Tim was available for dinner, so we met up with him. It was a nice get together. Unfortunately, their kitchen was closed, but we had a pretty good dinner from the food truck that was there. So, that worked. Paradigm Brewer Tuesday, we went to the eye doctor. Pretty standard visit except for my right eye really changed.
