Family Fun in Vegas

Image
Week two in Vegas. It was full of family and fun. Last Sunday night, we went out to dinner with Robert. It was a good Mexican Restaurant and we decided to walk a bit because we ate so much. We were in Henderson, Nevada in the Water District area. Cute little downtown area with restaurants, shops, and micro-breweries. Also, a lady who was lying on a bench and talking to herself. Robert and hubby both thought she had a phone, nope. All I can do is pray for her, mental health issues are so hard on family and friends. Hubby, myself and Robert. Monday, we ate at home. Had to go to the grocery store so we could eat at home. Tuesday, my sister, Stefanie, flew in from Houston. She was able to stay until Thursday. It was fun having her here. My dad and his wife, Connie (Robert's mom), also came to town. We had dinner with them Tuesday night and gambled a little bit. Connie has very good luck on the slots. It was fun watching her win.    Wednesday, we had a special night out at a restaurant

What an amazing week in Vegas and we have three more weeks to go! Got to meet some new friends, Lisa and John (just started to full time - so excited for them), was able to spend a day with my stepbrother, Robert, and was also able to spend the weekend with my cousin, Julie and her son Garrett. I am so thankful for the people God has placed in our lives. "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful". Colossians 3:15 (NASB) . Our site for the week. Loving these clouds! Roadrunner, if he catches you, you're through! "Become like a bird, expand  your wings, learn new things, and fly as high as you can". Unknown.  Our first night together - cousin time! So, this past weekend, we ate, gambled, went to the Vegas strip and ate again, then went to Piff the Magic Dragon show - I really had a great time! There were so many people walking around and we Uber'd so we didn't have to drive in that traffic. V

Utah

We had a fun packed week seeing Salt Lake City and Provo, Utah. Now, let's just say our campsite wasn't the prettiest and had some bugs we have never seen before, so in "keeping it real", we will not return. Had such high hopes staying at Lindon Marina, but Utah is in a drought and Labor Day weekend, which is usually packed, had only a few people. Boats could not even be launched due to the low the water . Actually, three boats were stuck in the mud in the marina.  Looking across Utah Lake at the marina. "On that day, when evening came,  He said to them, "Let us go over to the other side." Mark 4:35 (NASB) Last Monday, we went to Salt Lake City, saw some sights. It was so hot, but not the hottest day of the week. It was only 104 and then by Wednesday the high was 107, record breaking for Utah. Friday was the best day only in the mid 80's and when we left on Saturday, well, let's just say, I broke out my jacket. With vision and courage, Edward
