Happy Thanksgiving!

Image
I know that Thanksgiving was last week, but I just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you! We had a great time. First, here is where we stayed, again at Lake Conroe KOA. Our site and a little bit of the cabin we rented. "Keeping it real" I needed  an oven that would fit a turkey. Extra bonus, Tim was able to stay for two nights. Last Sunday was awesome, both the Texans and the 49ers won. The 49ers also won on Thanksgiving Day, hubby was nice enough to record it for me, so when everyone left, hubby and I watched the game.   Monday was running errands and Tuesday was the big shopping day for Thanksgiving. We were able to get into the cabin on Tuesday and then able to start filling that refrigerator for Thursday. Tuesday night we went out to dinner with James and Robyn Vigil. You may remember them from last year. I knew James from high school, he graduated in 1983, so he and Robyn are a year younger than I am. It was so nice getting together with them. I enjoy our time

Well, I am excited to share with you that the 49ers and the Texans won! Last Sunday was a great day, although I came in 2nd in the bake-off ("Keeping it real" there were only two desserts for the judges to judge).  Being born in California, I was raised on the 49ers. Living in Texas for over 34 years, the Texans have grown on me. I was sad that I didn't win the bake-off, but I have recovered (sort of). Once the judging was over, some of the kids that were playing outside were asked if they wanted some dessert, I had 6 boys that loved the cake, wish they could have been judges. Jim, Fonda, and hubby thought it was good. Since I had to make another cake  for the contest, we left the first cake at the Goode's. Their son,  Will, and his family came over and enjoyed it as well. Monday, we ran errands for the week, planned out our meals, I like to do that every Monday. To know what we are going to eat and buy just enough for that; I am not a fan of having to throw out produ

We arrived at Jetstream RV Resort November 4, 2023; this day also happens to be my mom's birthday. She turned 81 and is looking wonderful. I "rejoice in the Lord always;" Philippians 4:4a (NASB) that I still have moments that I can share with my mom. Mom and Dave. Happy birthday, Mom! After we set up, Tim came over and we had a great visit. He was able to take the rolls to Friendsgiving and told me that everyone liked them. I am glad about that. Now to make more starting this week. I have a busy schedule, but I believe I can at least make two dozen a day. Since it is November, I needed my Thanksgiving decorations out. I believe Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas and celebrating the birth of Jesus, also, Easter and celebrating His resurrection. There is just something about the fall colors, family coming together, and almost best of all mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy. The important foods of Thanksgiving, to me anyway! My cut
