The Days are Beautiful Here

Image
I can't help loving it here in Iraan. "Keeping it real" if I could change anything it would be all the wind. Some days are better than others, but the wind has no respect for my hair no matter how much hair spray I use. I could look at the sky all day long. Nice, full moon. Tuesday, we went to Fort Stockton to run errands. The trip, overall, is an hour less in travel time than going to San Angelo or Midland/Odessa. Even though it is only an hour, man it makes a big difference. We have a chicken place we like to go to while there, hubby was excited because they have a special on Tuesdays. Hubby also found some pictures from the game camera on Tuesday, so here they are. Meet one of our Quails. The moon is so bright. I wanted the video of this, but had to settle for a  picture, wanted you to see the flashing red lights of the windmills. I can't believe April is almost over, the days may be long, but time still flies. We had rain April 20th, so I went out on the Polaris l

Meanwhile Back on the Ranch

It has been an interesting week filled with highs and lows, temperatures that is. Thursday, the high was 100.9 while Friday the high was 67.8. What can I say about Texas weather? Monday, I was able to do some mowing, it is enjoyable to sit on the zero turn and just mow away. It was a beautiful day that left some color on my arms. I am enjoying all the wild flowers. I am not sure what type of cactus this is, but it is in  the ground and has beautiful flowers. Tuesday, I left the RV a little after 8:00am (I know s

So much happened last week I totally thought we were in Waco for three weeks and it was only two. It was fun watching the RV park fill up for the eclipse.   It is harder to see through the trees, but lots of rigs were here for the eclipse. This might be a better way to see the rigs. There might have been one spot that was open. Steve and Sharon arrived Thursday and it was so good to see them. Steve is Tom's brother. Tom was supposed to join us as well, but his rig was not cooperating. So, he had repairs done and headed back to Arizona to decompress before heading back to Oregon. Steve and Sharon came over to visit Thursday night and then Friday we had dinner together. Saturday, they went to pick up their daughters and they rented a treehouse for the girls. We were able to see the treehouse and it was so cute. Sunday night we played Five Crowns, and it was a lot of fun. I am sorry that I didn't take pictures of the treehouse, you would have loved it.   Monday was the eclipse, an
