Freedom

Freedom - what a beautiful word!  What are our freedoms?  I, personally, see freedom as free to live in peace, free to love others, free to worship my mighty God and free to live a life that God has given me - no matter what someone else says.  Not in a bad or stingy way - in a loving and gracious way.  In a way where I love God with all my heart, soul, mind and strength and others as myself.  What do you consider to be free?  What has God given you?  How do you want to live your life honoring Him?

Last blog I spoke about Jesus and His free gift of eternal life - well, now I want to dabble a little into the Holy Spirit and His gift of freedom!  How amazing - unconditional love from God and freedom through Him to give us the most amazing life!  God has given us the Holy Spirit, oh wow, the freedom, wisdom and discernment we have and what power we can access.  Our God is a might!  What an amazing picture we read from Acts 2 - the Holy Spirit comes in with wind, might and power - the disciples have fire like tongues come upon their shoulders - they could speak in a foreign tongue - amazing - wonderful - powerful - freedom!  That day over 3000 people accepted Jesus as their Savior - how beautiful!               

Last week I was in Idaho for a conference for work.  It was amazing, during this covid time it was freedom - freedom I needed.  Northern Idaho is beautiful and the people are gracious.  We didn’t have to wear masks or social distance because there have not been any (or if some - few) covid cases.  We were able to praise God, worship together and for this extrovert (yes, me) it was amazing!  I needed that!

The ability to worship God, be led by the Holy Spirit and have Jesus as my Savior is not only a free gift, but total freedom.  Below are some pictures that I was able to take on the trip.  God still amazes me and surprises me.  He is always giving great and beautiful gifts - He is so creative!

What a week it has been, hot is the word for it. Actually, the tee-ball game last Thursday was moved from 6:30pm to 7:30pm and I was so glad about that. It cooled down to 96 degrees and that made it so much better. The weather also gives us beautiful skies.  These dark and mysterious clouds did not produce rain for us. I just love the way they look. Another picture of the moon. Monday was laundry day and that felt good to knock it out in one day. Funny, my washer/dryer takes 2 and a half hours for one little load, going into the house, I can knock laundry in a lot less time than that. Don't get me wrong, I love my washer/dryer. A Labor of Love

Working on the ranch is truly a blessing. I enjoy mowing and now that we have a new weed sprayer, I enjoy riding around on the Polaris spraying the paths to the feeders and deer stands. This was just water, needed to do that first to make sure all the sprayers worked. Tuesday, we went to Kirsten's house so hubby could see her deck and new chicken coop. She lives at a higher elevation than we do. I was able to take this picture of the sunsetting. So beautiful. Isn't God so creative! We have Mesquite trees around here, fun fact: they are not native to this area. They are a nuisance, and they have thorns. What they have that is good is pods and the deer like to eat them. I am trying to get the grass to grow more, I have a few mesquites that will be take out. I don't like the "messy" look, so trying to get this area looking better, of course with hubby's help. Quiet out West

Well, the past week was full of wind, going into town and quietness. I told hubby that Wednesday I just wanted to stay on the property and that is what we did. Saturday, we made it to the big town of Midland so that we could run errands and grocery shop. I got my Food Saver and have already used it on the spaghetti I made on Monday. Also used my bread machine and made baguettes a couple of times. Here is my new bread cutting board. My bread machine makes two loaves.  Hubby checks the game camera every day and we have noticed that there are more and more javelina coming around. Caught on the Blink Camera. A momma and her babies. Although it is gross seeing all the javelina. Silly deer.  This is what Wednesday looked like outside before the sunset. I am telling you; I love it out here and the beautiful skies God creates.
