From Sargent to Galveston

Image
The time spent in Sargent has been filled with fun, laughter and friends. Fonda and Jim took a long weekend, and we were able to visit. We went out to dinner; they came over for dinner and we went over to their creek house for dinner as well. As they say, "I'm living' that Goode Life on Caney Creek", well hubby and I were able to do that with them. It will be very strange when we take off in April and won't be back in the Houston area until sometime in November. I will need to remember how to do Zoom and Skype, haven't done it for a while. Monday, hubby and I walked the beach. Tide was at the highest point and boy how the fog rolled in; Tuesday, we had sun for a while, but the fog is back and the temperature is in the high 60's. Hubby took this photo of the sunrise on the 27th, it looked so amazing to me, just another blessing the Lord has given all of us, a new day.  If you look closely, you will see the birds as well. Saturday, we drove from Sargent to G

After staying at the Corpus Christi KOA, we moved on to Sargent, TX.  This is a very small RV park, only 7 spots.  We booked far enough ahead to make sure we got the spot we wanted, spot #5.   We will stay here until January 30th and then head up the coast to Galveston until February 28th.  It is so amazing sitting at the dinning room table, watching the waves and enjoying the beauty God has created.  I can just stare at those waves for hours and they make such a beautiful sound. The house has been painted and today they are doing clean up in the pastures.  Hoping to get some good pictures taken tomorrow and then bam, the house will be on the market.  My prayer is that is sells quickly and we will be heading on our way across America.  We do have our trip planned out until the end of June and prayerfully the border will be open so we can make our way into Canada in July.  We want to spend time in Banff. The Lord is showing me that it is ok to slow down, look at His beauty and watch Hi

Free to be me

You will not believe the past couple of weeks!  Well, even the past couple of months.  Tressa and Andrew got married October 3rd and after that time flew!   We have worked really hard on getting the house on the market.  After Thanksgiving we went to West TX and took some furniture and other items to my dad's property.  The couches  were  pretty heavy, and we totally decided if my dad ever sold that property, the couches would stay for sure!  It was really nice out there and the moon was just so beautiful!  We will stay here until January 30th and then head up the coast to Galveston until February 28th.  It is so amazing sitting at the dining room table, watching the waves and enjoying the beauty God has created.  I can just stare at those waves for hours and they make such a beautiful sound.
