Having fun along the way

 It is important in life to have fun. 2020 was a crazy mess and 2021 has it's moments, but this month hubby and I are with friends in Galveston and we are having fun.



Tom and Tracy are full time RVers and we are enjoying our time together. They have taught us new card games, we have shared meals together, and our dogs are becoming fast friends. Gus is 9 and Buster is 13 months, so let's just say, the old man has been tired. I am taking him to the vet in March and I sure hope that between the walks and play time Gus has lost some weight. 
 
The photo is from the Kemah Boardwalk, this was a nice place to visit, walk around , eat and Tracy and I even did like a zip-line type of ride. We were strapped in, hoisted up in the air and then released to come back to the ground. It was fun and a little scary; but we survived.
 
So, the house has a contract on it and we close March 19, 2021. We will be staying a week in Tomball and then head out to Magnolia for the rest of March. April 2nd, we start making our way to Idaho. We will spend the month of June there. We were talking about going into Canada but will do that after this covid outbreak is gone.
 
Tomorrow is going to be cold and we might even get snow. I will take pictures and update you next week. Stay warm and enjoy some fun. Life can get too serious and we need to let the fun times happen. May God bless you and yours.

What a week it has been, hot is the word for it. Actually, the tee-ball game last Thursday was moved from 6:30pm to 7:30pm and I was so glad about that. It cooled down to 96 degrees and that made it so much better. The weather also gives us beautiful skies.  These dark and mysterious clouds did not produce rain for us. I just love the way they look. Another picture of the moon. Monday was laundry day and that felt good to knock it out in one day. Funny, my washer/dryer takes 2 and a half hours for one little load, going into the house, I can knock laundry in a lot less time than that. Don't get me wrong, I love my washer/dryer. It was over three years ago we got this, so love being able to  wash in the RV verses a laundry mat. A Labor of Love

Working on the ranch is truly a blessing. I enjoy mowing and now that we have a new weed sprayer, I enjoy riding around on the Polaris spraying the paths to the feeders and deer stands. This was just water, needed to do that first to make sure all the sprayers worked. Tuesday, we went to Kirsten's house so hubby could see her deck and new chicken coop. She lives at a higher elevation than we do. I was able to take this picture of the sunsetting. So beautiful. Isn't God so creative! We have Mesquite trees around here, fun fact: they are not native to this area. They are a nuisance, and they have thorns. What they have that is good is pods and the deer like to eat them. I am trying to get the grass to grow more, I have a few mesquites that will be take out. I don't like the "messy" look, so trying to get this area looking better, of course with hubby's help. The Past Two Weeks

I'm back, so sorry about missing a post last week, this week I made sure to get one ready for you. This is officially my 181-blog post and I appreciate you joining in for the journey. We have been busy here in Iraan. We go into town almost every day just to dump trash, we also have driven to Fort Stockton, Ozona and Big Lake. Let me first put up some pictures from January 14th through the 20th. It was full of family, and it was frozen. Here is the family for our January Christmas. In the back are Stef, Robert, Connie and hubby.  In the front are my dad and Baine. Can you see Baine? Little icicles hanging off the cover. There is an icicle on the truck tire. Frozen winter wonderland. It was chilly out there, that is for sure, but we enjoyed being together and celebrating with each other. What a difference a week makes.
