Idaho - Part 2

So, the second week staying at Tamarack RV Park hasn't been filled with sight-seeing, but with family time! It was fun to be with my siblings and talk around the dinner table. Mom and Dave gave us a Christmas present at Cedars Restaurant and that was fun and delicious!

We taught mom and Dave two new cards games: Negative Five and Five Crowns. Both are fun and make me do math, so I guess my brain is happy to be thinking. 
 
My sister-in-law, Hilda, nephew, Hunter, and brother, Steve, taught us how to play Pickleball. It is fun, but I am out of shape. Hubby and I will continue to play wherever we can find a court. It is a mix of tennis, badminton and ping pong. Not too hard to catch on, but let me just say, I am sore!
 
I don't think I will ever get tired of looking at clouds. God is so awesome, and He creates amazing clouds! Hubby, Stef, Baine and I went downtown shopping and walking around. It rained off and on, but it was still a beautiful day. Baine was excited about the soap shop, so we went in there. I bought some soap that you can wash with to keep mosquitoes off you, I am excited and hope it works. Downtown is pretty and a fun place to walk around, but man, there are a lot of people here. Those who want to escape California, Washington and Oregon are moving here, driving the prices of houses up and filling the street with lots of traffic. I met an RV neighbor who is living in his RV until his rental house is available in late July. He and his family left California to move here only to find that they had to live in their RV since March due to lack of housing opportunities. It is just crazy!

    Looks like y’all had an amazing visit! So glad y’all could spend the time with your mom. I know her heart must be full having all of her children in one place for a few days.

What a week it has been, hot is the word for it. Actually, the tee-ball game last Thursday was moved from 6:30pm to 7:30pm and I was so glad about that. It cooled down to 96 degrees and that made it so much better. The weather also gives us beautiful skies.  These dark and mysterious clouds did not produce rain for us. I just love the way they look. Another picture of the moon. Monday was laundry day and that felt good to knock it out in one day. Funny, my washer/dryer takes 2 and a half hours for one little load, going into the house, I can knock laundry in a lot less time than that. Don't get me wrong, I love my washer/dryer. It was over three years ago we got this, so love being able to  wash in the RV verses a laundry mat. A Labor of Love

Working on the ranch is truly a blessing. I enjoy mowing and now that we have a new weed sprayer, I enjoy riding around on the Polaris spraying the paths to the feeders and deer stands. This was just water, needed to do that first to make sure all the sprayers worked. Tuesday, we went to Kirsten's house so hubby could see her deck and new chicken coop. She lives at a higher elevation than we do. I was able to take this picture of the sunsetting. So beautiful. Isn't God so creative! We have Mesquite trees around here, fun fact: they are not native to this area. They are a nuisance, and they have thorns. What they have that is good is pods and the deer like to eat them. I am trying to get the grass to grow more, I have a few mesquites that will be take out. I don't like the "messy" look, so trying to get this area looking better, of course with hubby's help. The Past Two Weeks

I'm back, so sorry about missing a post last week, this week I made sure to get one ready for you. This is officially my 181-blog post and I appreciate you joining in for the journey. We have been busy here in Iraan. We go into town almost every day just to dump trash, we also have driven to Fort Stockton, Ozona and Big Lake. Let me first put up some pictures from January 14th through the 20th. It was full of family, and it was frozen. Here is the family for our January Christmas. In the back are Stef, Robert, Connie and hubby.  In the front are my dad and Baine. Can you see Baine? Little icicles hanging off the cover. There is an icicle on the truck tire. Frozen winter wonderland. It was chilly out there, that is for sure, but we enjoyed being together and celebrating with each other. What a difference a week makes.
