First, I hope that you had a very Happy Thanksgiving! May God shine His face upon you and bless you! Second, let me show you around the RV park we are currently staying while in Mission, Texas. It is a place where many people live full time or at least six months. Didn't notice until last Wednesday that it is a place for 55 and older to stay. Hubby and I barely made it. Ha-ha!  Mission is a city in Hidalgo County, Texas. It is estimated that 84,330 residents live in Mission. Mission is part of the McAllen-Edinburg-Mission and Reynosa area. The drive to family is very close and that makes it nice and easy to see them.  Here is a bridge you can walk across the water and sit and relax. Hubby on our exploration. Nice view with pretty clouds. This is where you would relax. More view and more clouds. A Texas shaped swimming pool (well, almost the right shape). We have had some warm weather, but a front blew in on Thanksgiving. It was a little chilly leaving Jennifer's house after we

San Antonio week 2

The weather has been really good, some days in the 80's and then a front blew through, nights were in the 40's. What God did was create beautiful clouds through all that weather. He is so sweet to remind us that weather will change, but He will not. "Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the  Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow." James 1:17 (NASB) We had a special guest this week. We haven't seen Tim or Tressa in seven months, but Tim drove from Houston to San Antonio on Thursday! We had dinner Thursday night at the rig and Mari and Mario joined us. It was truly an amazing time spent with them. My sister-in-law, Del, had made lumpia and I froze it so that we could all enjoy it together. Since, we had that, I went ahead and made chicken stir-fry with fried rice. Good food, great company! Friday, after hubby was off from work, Tim, hubby and I went to the Pearl Brewery. The brewery was establis

Hubby and I had a most interesting time driving from Las Cruses, New Mexico to Fort Stockton, Texas. A five-hour trip took us eight hours. Why you ask? Well, because of this... Thank the Lord that we have road side assistance,  hubby couldn't get off the last lug nut to fix it. We stayed one night in Fort Stockton and then headed out to Dad and Connie's place in Iraan, Texas. It was nice and we had a good time visiting with them. Tuesday, we headed out to San Antonio, Texas and are really enjoying this KOA (Kamp Grounds of America). Dad and Connie's ranch in Iraan, TX. Hubby was able to put out all my pretty stuff, this ground is a  lot softer than the desert places we have stayed. We have ducks at the KOA! Wednesday, we ventured out and had an early dinner on the River Walk. I really enjoy being there and walking around. It is so cute and so many shops and places to eat. Hubby and I shared fajitas; they were good!  Should have taken a picture of the River Walk, hopefully w

New Mexico

Welcome to New Mexico! It is a beautiful place and we have enjoyed ourselves the past week.  They say it is "The Land of Enchantment" and it sure has been for us. Not too hot either, so that made it very nice to sit outside and enjoy. We stayed overnight at a KOA in Lordsburg and then the next day went to see a Ghost Town and took a tour before arriving in Las Cruses. Shakespeare, New Mexico has a lot of history and was a booming town in the 1850's. Miners found silver and copper in the mines. There was also scandal when a few businessmen took some diamonds and "seeded" some mines for men to fine, tricking them into thinking diamonds were in the mines, but they would only find a few and were cheated out of their money. It was a fun tour, and the day was also beautiful! Was built in 1850 and used as a home for different families over the years. Beautiful skies! Love those clouds. We were able to bring Gus with us and boy did he sleep well on the way to Las Cruses
