South Texas

First, I hope that you had a very Happy Thanksgiving! May God shine His face upon you and bless you!

Second, let me show you around the RV park we are currently staying while in Mission, Texas. It is a place where many people live full time or at least six months. Didn't notice until last Wednesday that it is a place for 55 and older to stay. Hubby and I barely made it. Ha-ha!

Mission is a city in Hidalgo County, Texas. It is estimated that 84,330 residents live in Mission. Mission is part of the McAllen-Edinburg-Mission and Reynosa area. The drive to family is very close and that makes it nice and easy to see them.

Here is a bridge you can walk across the water and sit and relax.

Hubby on our exploration.

Nice view with pretty clouds.

This is where you would relax.

More view and more clouds.

A Texas shaped swimming pool (well, almost the right shape).

We have had some warm weather, but a front blew in on Thanksgiving. It was a little chilly leaving Jennifer's house after we were done with the celebrating, eating and good conversations. It was truly a blessing to be able to spend Thanksgiving with hubby's brother, Fred, and his clan. So good to be able to see them on this holiday.

Jennifer made a really tasty turkey. There wasn't much leftover.

Trying to get organized for a grandkids and grandparents photo.

Here we all are. Time of celebration and joy!

"O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord, let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms." Psalm 95:1-2 (NASB)

Fun fact: The town of McAllen is known as the “South Pole of Texas”. Even their Holiday themed parade is named “South Pole of Texas”.

Since we will be in Texas until February 5, 2022, I won't have any states to share with you for the next couple of blogs. Once we hit Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama I will share their state flower, tree, bird and motto.

If there is something special you would like me to take a picture of, please let me know!
