Friends and Family

It has been so amazing to see so many of our friends and get together with family. We have had a full week and this week will be our last, so trying to cram as much time with others as possible. Barbara Bush said, "Live your life with love as your guiding principle - keep your family and close friends close." My prayer is that you and I will be able to do this in 2022.

Sisters - Stefanie and I were able to meet up for lunch.

Hubby and I were also able to meet up with friends of mine from high school. We saw them when we were in California, they lived there at the time now they are Texans! We will also meet up with them this week, they will come and see the rig and we will have more time to visit. Hopefully the weather will be amazing, and we can sit outside and have a fire. James promises that he makes great frijoles, so we will be putting him to the test!

Saturday, we met up with Ashley and her boys. Christmas time, again. Ashley and Colton used to live with us, she is like a daughter and Colton is like a grandson to us. We love getting together with them, watching Colton grow up has been fun as well. Mason is a hoot for sure. This week, we will need to get with another "daughter and grandchildren", Paige, Caitlyn and Lailah. Ashley and Paige are friends of Tressa's that have become daughters and grandchildren to us. Love having extended family.

We were able to have dinner on Friday with some amazing people! Angela and Derrick McNeil and our son, Tim. God is doing amazing things in the McNeil's life, and I am so excited for them. He has placed them on a journey towards planting a church. They are still looking for the area where the Lord wants the church plant as well as other details that go into creating a church. It is so exciting to see what God is doing in their life. Derrick and I worked together in mentoring Small Group leaders and coaches. We also were able to write curriculum together and many other things as we worked for the Lord and raised up men and women to follow Him in relational discipleship. Funny, Tim and Angela worked together as well in the Tech Arts department at The Met. The Lord is amazing how He places people in our lives. Please pray for the McNeil's as they wait upon the Lord for this amazing adventure.

I totally forgot to get a picture of us, so bummed. Fun fact: The Met church planted CyLife church. Now, Derrick and Angela (who attend and work for CyLife) will go and plant a church. God is awesome!

"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near." Hebrews 10:23-25 (NASB)

If there is something special you would like me to take a picture of, please let me know!
