Happy New Year!!

As I am writing this, I am sitting outside with hubby, enjoying the current weather. Come late Saturday early Sunday we will be in the 30's. It is in the 70's now. Texas has bi-polar weather.

Happy New Year! My prayer is that 2022 will be a much calmer year. May the Lord shine His face upon us in 2022 and may we be the light of Jesus that others need.
So, hubby, Tim and I just so happened to get covid. It wasn't a bad case, praise the Lord, but still had to change up Christmas and that was a bummer. Although, we had two Christmases, so that worked out well. Since Tim had covid (we probably gave it to him), we all met on Christmas Day at his place. After we were better, we met at his place with Tressa and Andrew. We had fun and played some games. Tim's gift to me was a "Baby Yoda" card game. We played that on Christmas Day and then last Wednesday we played a new game that Tim gave to Tressa and Andrew, as well as another game. Fun time was had by all. (I forgot to take pictures - ugh!)

Hubby logged all our miles, hours and average drive time and I here is our data: 12 states, 7519 RV miles, 174 hours RV drive time, average 9.4 mpg, 1 flat RV tire. Of course, you have seen the flat tire photo, but since I don't have many photos, thought I would share it again.

Saturday, we had Christmas with the Goode's. They have been family friends for 29 and a half years. It is a wonderful tradition and I look forward to it every year. We enjoy shrimp étouffée courtesy of Jim Goode. Poor guy he has to make it every year or we would all revolt.

Fun Fact: Around the 1950s, crawfish étouffée was introduced to restaurant goers in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana; however, the dish may have been invented as early as the late 1920s, according to some sources. (Mrs. Herbert who ran the Herbert Hotel created the recipe with her daughters, Yoli and Marie.) Originally, crawfish étouffée was a popular dish amongst Cajuns in the bayous and backwaters of Louisiana.
As I sit outside, I am amazed at the beauty God creates for us every day. He is so amazing! Just looking at His clouds brings beauty and balance into my life. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

"Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen." Revelation 1:7 (NASB)
