We are in Katy, TX until January 15, 2022, and are very excited that we can see family and friends. I am so excited that hubby put the lights up on the rig, it is really looking like Christmas around here.
It looks really cool on the video, but I can't add videos, so sad.
I love having “Book Club at the Barn”. It is so different while on the road, but I am enjoying reading and laughing with the ladies. For December's book club we had a Christmas party. It was so good to see everyone in person and to meet some new ladies that have joined. Everyone brought some food and we all had "White Elephant" gifts. It took a moment before someone stole a present, but after that the fun of stealing began.
Truly a wonderful group of ladies!
Katy Lakes RV Resort is nice, looks bigger on paper, but it is a nice place to stay. I love when we can stay on cement pads and have grass. Not every RV Resort or KOA has that. Not a fan of driving down Fry Rd from Katy to Cypress, lots of lights, but getting used to it. Here is where we are staying.
Here are some lake pictures.
Really like the walk around the lake.
Nice water fountain.
Here we can see the moon to the right, we also have clouds.
Tuesdays are "Taco Tuesdays"nights.
I have not seen my girlfriends since March. Was so nice to go out for dinner. Started at 3:00pm and we left at 7:00pm. We have been friends since 1992 and it has been my pleasure to do life with them, the good, the bad and the ugly. Raising children together, going to church together, helping each other through life. May the Lord give us many more years together. "This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends." John 15:12-13 (NASB)

We moved to Katy in 2000, we were fortunate to build our home. Hubby and I are in the same mind-set, so no arguments happened as we walked through this journey of our lives. Fun fact: Katy was settled in the mid-1890s, Katy was a railroad town along the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad which ran parallel to U.S. Route 90 (today it is Instate 10). The fertile floodplain of Buffalo Bayou, which has its source near Katy, and its tributaries made Katy and other communities in the surrounding prairie an attractive location for rice farming. Beginning in the 1960s, the rapid growth of Houston moved westward along the new Interstate 10 corridor, bringing Katy into its surrounding area. Today, Katy lies at the center of a broader area known as Greater Katy, which has become heavily urbanized.
May you find His peace and joy, not only at this time of year, but year-round! "Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable." Isaiah 40:28 (NASB)
