Amazing Kentucky

We arrived at the Louisville South KOA and got the RV all settled and made our plans for touring Noah's Ark the following day.  I almost missed the state sign. Our site for two weeks. Sunday, we watched church, got ready to go on our adventure and drove two hours to see the ark. It took Noah and his family 120 years to build the ark. That is also how long God gave his people to repent. "The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love." Psalm 103:8 (ESV) . Only Noah and his family survived, and God placed His rainbow in the sky as a pledge to never flood the Earth again. Fun fact: Noah is 600 years old and much has happened while building the ark. His father, Lamech, passed away five years ago, and his grandfather, Methuselah, died in the past year at the age of 969. The front of Noah's ark. We were pretty far away, had to be to get it all in the picture. Closer look at the back of the ark. That's a little longer than a standard Boe

Welcome to Music City (Nashville, TN)

We enjoyed our stay in Nashville. Even though the KOA wasn't that pretty, we did meet some nice people and enjoyed getting to know them. "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!" Psalm 133:1 (NASB) . Monday, we took a tour of Belle Meade. Now it is a historical non-profit Mansion. It was a fun and informative tour where we learned about horse racing, the family history and how you can lose everything. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take pictures inside. For more information, you can watch a couple of videos on YouTube. Fun fact: Belle Meade means Beautiful Meadow in French. This is what the Belle Meade Mansion would have looked like in 1856. Owned by W.G. Harding 1853. The sundial didn't know it was time to "Spring Forward". We enjoyed the "Redneck Bus Tour" around Nashville. We got there a little early so we could grab some lunch. Also, I wanted a picture of us in front of Cooter's. Remember &quo

Making our way North

What a time we had in Prattville, Alabama. Sad it was only for one day, but still the adventure was worth it. We pulled into a lovely RV park that was full of trees and hills. We were supposed to stay for a week, but you know, life happens, and you make the best of it. Staying in Florida for an extra week helped hubby and I establish our walking routine and for 2 1/2 weeks we have been going strong. This week we started planking, it isn't fun, but I am hoping after a month we will be stronger and able to plank longer. Seeing other older women in the RV parks/resorts we have been in has given me motivation to get moving and eating healthy. Some women walk/exercise while others need help/assistance. I would like to prevent the later one as long as I can. The Kountry Air RV park. Just thought these horses were  cute, so I had to include them. Daniel Pratt founded Prattville in 1839 and patterned  if after his home state of  New Hampshire.  Because of how many artesian wells  this town

Happy Mother's Day! My prayer is that you will enjoy your day with your mom or your babies. "Her children rise up and bless her; her husband also, and he praises her, saying: May daughters have done nobly, but you excel them all." Proverbs 31:28-29 (NASB) . Well, the truck is fixed and working now. We stayed in Brooksville, Florida four days longer than excepted, but as hubby and I like to say, "Life is an Adventure". We rented a car while the truck was getting worked on and had an adventure to Weeki Wachee Springs State Park. It was a fun day, and we were able to watch the Mermaid Show.  "Weeki Wachee" was named by the Seminole Indians. It means "little spring" or "winding river." The spring is so deep that the bottom has never been found. Each day, more than 117 million gallons of clear, fresh 74-degree water bubbles up out of the subterranean caverns. Weeki Wachee Springs is one of those old Florida tourist attractions that ever
