Belle Parc in Brooksville, Florida, has been a truly beautiful RV Resort for us. The sites are cement, the roads are paved, there is a pool and spa, pickle ball courts, shuffleboard and corn hole. We did not realize it at the time of making our reservation, but this is a 55+ community. The people are friendly and most of them easy to talk to. This sign says it all.
And we would be those grandparents.
Last Sunday, we had brunch at Jo Jo and Ron's home. Jo Jo is a most excellent hostess! The food was wonderful as well as the company. We spent the afternoon in the screened in back porch and just talked the day away. They have one of the prettiest birds I have ever seen. He was so cute and loved the berries that Jo Jo fed him. He also enjoys his favorite tv show on YouTube with other birds he can watch.
Mango
I have enjoyed sitting outside watching the birds and enjoying God's creation. Hubby has been surprised by how much time I have spent outside at this RV park verses parks where we have stayed. I enjoy the weather, a little warm with that tropical breeze. I enjoy listening to the palm trees sway back and forth. When I close my eyes, the sound reminds me of waves washing onto the beach. One morning, I even had my coffee and devotional time outside. It was lovely. If we were to come back to Florida, I would want to stay here again.
The lake
Reminds me of a swamp type area. There is a sign
that says "Caution Alligators".
Hubby put Gus' water bowl under the a/c
drip, evidently this duck likes Gus' bowl.
Ibis birds
The Ibises are a group of long-legged wading birds in the family Threskiornithidae, that inhabit wetlands, forests and plains. "Ibis" derives from the Latin and Ancient Greek word for this group of birds. It also occurs in the scientific name of the cattle egret mistakenly identified in 1757 as being the sacred ibis.
Fun fact: in Mythology, the Ibis bird was sacred to and associated with Thoth the god of wisdom and writing. Thoth was often represented in the form of a man's body with the head of the Ibis and was the patron of the educated scribes who were responsible for the administration of Egypt.
Again, I have been enjoying the clouds and the beautiful skies the Lord has been providing us with each day and night. "The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands." Psalms 19:1 (NASB)

Hubby has been talking about putting in a diesel tank in the truck bed ever since we bought the truck. Well, with gas and diesel prices being what they are, we decided it was time to take that step. Now we can go to wherever the lowest price diesel is and fill it up instead of driving through the truck stops where the diesel is so much higher. Not sure why it is that way, but so excited we don't have to count on a truck stop any longer.
This is how we turn the tank on and
then it will fill 5 gallons at a time.
The person who installed the tank wasn't sure it would fit behind
our hitch, but hubby researched it so well, that of course it fit.
There it is in all its glory.
One morning I was sitting in the living room drinking my coffee and doing my devotional when I looked into the dining room and saw this on the floor. I had to take a picture as I was reminded that we are loved by a God who sacrificed His only begotten Son for us. Thank You, Jesus, for doing the will of the Father.

Well, as an old Yiddish proverb says, "We plan, God laughs". We were heading out to Weeki Wachee Springs when the truck had other ideas. So, plan B: call a tow truck and look for a Ford dealership. I also went to see if we could stay another week at Belle Parc, with Florida's "season" coming to an end, it was fine for us to extend our stay. Because we only have the truck, hubby also rented a car for us. We hadn't planned food for the rest of the week. Now, with the rental car, we will be heading out to the springs and watch the Mermaid show and going to a grocery store. More pictures and information on this weeks adventure on our the next blog post.
