Vegas Adventures

This week was a busy one with fun and activities, Vegas style. Monday, we went to a hockey game. They sure know how to put on a good show. On and off the ice. "Keeping it real", it would have been so much better if we didn't have loud talkers behind us. They weren't even talking about the hockey game for the most part, and I really didn't need to know if the son had finished his homework. Other than that, it was a nice evening.
Golden Knights vs LA Kings

They know how to put on a show before the game for sure.

Show girls dancing on the Kings side of the arena.
Guessing they are there for distraction.

Warm-up time.

The Knights getting ready to enter the arena.

Tuesday was a chill day. Since we are in Pacific Time Zone, hubby wakes up and starts work at 4:00am. He also needed to rest up because Wednesday was date night. We went to dinner at Tom Colicchio's restaurant, Craftsteak, and then went to a Cirque Du Soleil show, Ka. I wish I was able to take pictures, the show was amazing, and the entire stage moved.  I would see it again for sure. Fun fact: Originally composed of 20 street performers in 1984, Cirque Du Soleil Entertainment Group completely reinvented circus arts and went on to become a world leader in live entertainment. Established in Montreal, the Canadian organization has brought wonder and delight to over 180 million spectators with productions presented in 450 cities in 60 countries. Currently it employees 4,000 people, including 1,300 artists, who originate from nearly 50 countries.

Lots of fire going off on the stage.

We chilled again on Thursday because Friday through tomorrow was going to be an amazing time with friends. We set out to the airport to pick up Jim and Fonda. We haven't seen each other since last December. It was wonderful catching up with them. We first went out to lunch and then drove to Fremont Street to check it out. All I can say is WOW! A lot was going on, music, dancing, street performers. A lot to take in for sure. We also had dinner at Hugo Cellars in the Four Queens casino. It was a fun time for sure! I won a little bit of money on the slots.

Here is the beginning of the Fremont Street Experience.

Had to take a picture of the cowboy.

"Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor.
For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion". Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NASB).

"I knew when I met you an adventure
was going to happen." Winnie the Pooh.

Since Fonda and Jim gave us the Road Food Book, we had to go and they only have one in Vegas. Mary's Hash House. It is a plain place as far as seating goes, has some cute pictures on the walls and a sign that I had to take a picture of. Mary (the owner) was on the Food Network cooking competition "Chopped". The waitress believed it was in 2013. So sad, Mary didn't win. Her food was good and since it is a hash house, Fonda ended up ordering one of the hash dishes for breakfast. The waitress was funny and didn't mind talking to us at all. Hubby was not found that she kept coming back to talk, he wanted to eat his breakfast. In the truck on the way back to Sam's Town, the four of us talked about the food, environment and service. We ended up give the place a strong 3 1/2 points out of 5. If we would have just judged the food, it would have been 4 1/2 points. Let's just say, I would go back and eat there again.

This was just too funny, so I needed to take this picture.

Saturday afternoon, we headed out to eat at Giada's restaurant in The Cromwell hotel and casino. After that we headed to Planet Hollywood to see Miranda Lambert.

Smokey Old Fashion

It was pretty tasty. So glad we were able to dine together Saturday night.

It was a good concert!

She had so much energy!

Amazing light show.

Glad we saw her and made memories.

Today, I am sure we will find something fun to do, the Mob Museum, Hoover Dam, something special or maybe a more chill vibe. More about that next week.

If there is something special you would like me to take a picture of, please let me know!
