A Strange Week Was Upon Us
So, before we get into our journey about last week, let me give you some insight. We were set to stay in North Bend, Ohio for two weeks. We have a friend (whose name will be revealed later in this blog) who was getting married September 9, 2023. Well, we have our schedule of where we are going and how long we are staying at least six months in advance. Let's just say, as of today, we are set in our plans until July 20, 2024. At the beginning of covid, you had to be careful to book in advance because everything spot was booking up fast. Now RV campgrounds, resorts, State and National parks are a little easier. So, with our friend reaching out, we reached out to our spot in Michigan to see if we could arriver sooner. Now, let's begin our journey and fill in the missing pieces.
We found someone having fun on Labor Day. We hope you did as well. I haven't ever wanted to do this, but some people love it. I have been on one but was launched from the beach in Mexico, not over the water. Happy Labor Day to you!
Hubby looked up and there they were.
Tuesday, a normal workday for hubby, but we were able to get our steps in. We also met up with some friends we met in November of 2020. Kirk and Karen Fink. They started full-time RVing and really helped us and we were to begin January 2021. We have me up with them a couple of times, and now that they are living in Ohio, we were able to have dinner with them. Because of some health issues, they are no longer full-time RVing. It was just so good to see them and have time with them. So much to catch up on.

We went to Kreimer's Bier Haus. A German Restaurant in Cleves, OH.
I guess this is Kriemer.
One saying that a Knight of the Round Table would say,
"Death is welcome when it comes; but to yield - never!"
One of the things I never get tired of is how creative God is. He amazes me daily. Even when I complain about rain, He is beautiful. I was able to capture these clouds at our site last Tuesday night. Amazing!
I know the picture doesn't do it justice, but I just wanted to show you how
God is amazing. By the way, the next morning we had some sprinkles.
Ah how the cloud change brings on different weather.
Well, here is some interesting facts that I have learned about Cincinnati, OH. Cincinnati began with the settlement of Columbia, Losantiville, and North Bend in the Northwest Territory of the United States beginning in late December 1788. The following year Fort Washington, named for George Washington, was established to protect the settlers.

In 1800, there were about 30 buildings and a population of 750 people. Cincinnati was chartered as a town in 1802, and then incorporated as a city in 1819, when it was first called "Queen of the West". Located on the Ohio River, the city prospered as it met the needs of westward bound pioneers who traveled on the river. It had 30 warehouses to supply military and civilian travelers — and had hotels, restaurants and taverns to meet their lodging and dining needs.
Bars were clustered along Fourth Street between Main and Elm, and along
Vine Street between Sixth and Seventh.
Cincinnati became the sixth largest city in the United States, with a population of 115,435, by 1850. Before the Civil War, it was an important stop on the Underground Railroad. Fun fact: Due to the Defense of Cincinnati, there was never a shot fired in the city during the Civil War.

"Keeping it real" hubby and I have been walking regularly at least for the past week and a half. From the dates of August 27th through Sept 2nd we walked every day and hubby was surprised (as well as I was) to find out that the total miles for that week were 25.2 miles. I am so thankful for that and amazed that we were able to keep up our walking routine. I don’t think we will hit that again until we are in a site for a week. Also, we only have four states left until we have completed the lower 48. I am just amazed at how God has allowed that to happen and all we’ve been able to see. Especially His creation and all the people/friends along the way.
Thursday, we drove to Michigan, we parked the rig, we were able to set it almost all the way up, hubby needs to finish his office so he can work on Tuesday. After we set up the rig, we drove to Grand Rapids to spend the night and then fly to San Diego for the wedding. So, sorry to lead you on, but it won't be until next week that you are able to read who was married.

Amazing Flight Attendants Simone and Tasha. They are mother/daughter and so beautiful.
It was amazing to meet them and they made the trip from Chicago to San Diego a lot of fun!
The clouds passing us by or are we passing them by?? Not that long,
but I thought it was worth it.
Look what was waiting for us in San Diego!! It was so much fun to have a convertible Camaro!
Years ago, while working for a Pregnancy Center we went to a conference and during our breaks they would have venders come and we could see what there was for sell or what ministries where there. We came across and husband and wife who created birth verses. They prayed thought the entire year for the perfect verse for a that person during their day. For example: my birthday is March 3rd and when it was March 3rd they prayed and found, what I think is an amazing verse for me, Psalms 3:3 which reads, “But You, oh Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the One who lifts my head.” I searched to see if they were still out there but couldn’t find anything quite like what a saw at the conference. I did read where if you were really interested in finding a “life” verse for you, first pray and ask the Lord to lead you, then turn to the chapter in the Bible in which month you were born. Look down through the verses to find your birth date and see if the Holy Spirit is leading you for that to be your life verse. Example: hubby was born July 2nd, so I looked went to Proverbs chapter 7 verse 2 and it reads, “Keep my commandments and live, and My teaching as the apple of your eye.” I think that is a pretty good life verse. If you desire to do this, please share with me what your life verse is.
Love His Word!
