Phoenix, AZ

Happy Halloween! Hope you receive treats and not tricks. Last week we arrived in Phoenix at the Desert Shadow RV Park. It is a nice place, and they have a lot of activities. A lot of people that live here are full time. Fun Fact:  Phoenix was settled in 1867 as an agricultural community near the junction of two rivers, the Salt and Gila and was incorporated as a city in 1881. Phoenix became the capital of the Arizona Territory in 1889. It is also the cultural center for Arizona. "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'" John 7:38 (NASB)     Our rig is behind our red truck. Halloween golf cart parade. Last Sunday, we went to a friend's (mine from college) home for dinner. It was great to see her and meet her husband. I believe it has been 30 years since we last saw each other.  We also went out to eat  with them on Wednesday night to a nice Mexican restaurant.  Kim and I Tuesday night we went to a

"Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine." It wasn't hard to have sunshine in the desert. We didn’t have bad weather either. Well, we did get a few drops of rain this past week and basically it just got the truck dirty.  It wasn't hard to be sunshine hanging out with Lynn. "From the rising of the sun to its setting the name of the Lord is to be praised." Psalms 113:3 (NASB)   Love the clouds with the mountains. Lynn and I also watched both seasons of The Chosen. Man was it amazing! God's Word which is alive, was displayed on the TV with a truly wonderful cast of people playing Jesus, Mary, Mary Magdalene, the disciples, truly a blessing to watch. Let's just say, sometimes there wasn't a dry eye and Jesus hasn't even spoken on the Mount. We heard there would be a total of 7 season, can't wait! Lynn and I went to the grocery store to get a few things and I had to take a picture of this sign. It was the fi

Welcome to the low desert! We are having a great time in the Palm Springs area. It is so wonderful to catch up with friends and to have Ernie and Del camping alongside us. They arrived Thursday and will leave sometime this week. We are currently staying in Desert Hot Springs. I love looking at the desert mountains.   Our spot in Desert Hot Springs This week we are hoping to go to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. It is the world's largest rotating tram car that travels over two-and one-half miles along the breathtaking cliffs of Chino Canyon. At this time, it is closed for repairs, but hopefully I will be able to bring you amazing pictures next week. On our way to Lynn's house, I saw the most beautiful clouds with the sun streaming through them. When I looked at the picture I had taken, that is not what I saw. Hmmmmmm, looks like a dinosaur to me, your thoughts?? "Behold now, Behemoth, which I made as well as you; he eats grass like an ox. Behold now, his strength in his

San Diego - ad extremum

Well, our last day in San Diego was yesterday. In this RV park, the check-out time is noon. That gave us an extra hour to pack our home up and head out. We are now in Palm Springs. More on that next week. Let's just say, I spent more time in my pj's this past week than all the others. We slept two nights with the window open and all I can say is ALLERGIES! I have the Dr's On Demand app, I after a few days of trying it my way, I called. I was given some medicine and felt better to go to Thor's one last time on Tuesday. Hubby went out last Sunday with my cousins and then on Monday to his brother's. I was glad he was able to go. We will see Ernie and Del in Palm Springs, they also have a travel trailer. So that will be nice to camp with them. On that note, I only have one picture this week, boo, but it is a good picture! Some RV parks have Halloween contests, and some campers will decorate their rigs. This family did it a little differently, hubby and I just love it.

First, I would like to wish our daughter, Tressa and son-in-law, Andrew a happy anniversary. One year ago, today they were married in our front yard. So much has happened since then. The time did fly by though.   October 3, 2020 It has been another whirl wind of a week. We saw family and friends. We went out to brunch with my cousin and his family! A place named "Jimmy's Famous American Pub" (never found out what it was famous for - LOL). It was nice. We walked around afterward and saw this big guy. He was fun to watch. Hubby, Tim, me, Michelle and Lindsay Last Wednesday, we met up with my cousin, Candy and new hubby, Aaron. Forgot to take pictures. Makes me so mad when I do that. We haven't seen each other for a while. It was nice to catch-up.   Thursday, my best friend from college came to see me. She drove from the Palm Springs area. When we talk it is like we talk every day, the conversation easily flows. We all went over to Thor's for Thursday Night Football
